We've updated our Public Offer: tour payments are now blocked on your card until the trip
November 6, 2026
We have published a new version of the Peakly Public Offer — 2.0. The key change: a tour payment is no longer charged straight away; it is blocked on the traveller's card until the trip is over. The new version takes effect on 6 December 2026.
What changes for travellers
- The money stays on your card until the tour. When you pay, the amount is blocked but not charged. It is charged only after the trip.
- Cancel more than 48 hours ahead — 100% back. The block is simply released; nothing is withheld.
- More time to file a claim — 48 hours after the tour ends instead of 24.
- Peakly does not receive or hold travellers' money. Blocking, charging, splitting and refunds are handled by a licensed payment organisation.
What changes for guides and tour companies
- Payment organisation fee — about 0.65% for cards of local payment systems, instead of the previous 0.5–2.1% acquiring fee. The separate 0.1% transfer charge is gone. As before, the payment organisation fee is paid by the seller.
- The money goes to you directly. The payment organisation credits your share straight to your account, bypassing Peakly's account.
- When you get paid. For one-day and multi-day tours — 48 hours after you mark the tour as completed. For multi-day tours this is later than before: you are paid after the tour ends rather than after it begins. For international tours — as before, 30% on booking confirmation.
- Remember to mark the tour as completed in your dashboard or in the Peakly Guide app — it determines when you get paid.
- Peakly's commission is unchanged — 0 to 12%, with your rate shown in the dashboard. The «Become a Guide» promotion terms remain in place.
- Paid services are optional. The Offer now covers a premium subscription with extended features. Basic features stay free.
When it takes effect
The new version applies from 6 December 2026. Until then, version 1.2 remains in force. Bookings placed before 6 December follow the rules that applied when they were made.
